The 28th International Symposium on Graph Drawing and Network Visualization will be held online from September 16 to 18  due to the uncertainty regarding future travel and physical meeting restrictions caused by the Corona virus outbreak.   We plan to keep all of the important dates (such as submission and notification) the same.

The conference will be partially offline. The presentation of each paper will consist of a pre-recorded video (15/10 minutes) and an online discussion. Length of a video: ca. 15 minutes for papers in Tracks 1 and 2, ca. 10 minutes for short papers.

The videos will be available for all registered participants 10 days before the conference. During the conference, each speaker will have a 6-minute slot called “discussion”. During the 6-minute discussion the speaker will first give a one-minute online summary (for example, the speaker may show 1-3 slides from her/his pre-recorded video containing the main definitions and results). Then there will be a 5-minute online Q&A discussion. Participants of the conference may send questions before the session (after watching the pre-recorded video), and they can also ask questions during the 5-minute online Q&A discussion.

On each of the three days of the conference, the online program will start at 8am (Vancouver time) and will end around noon (Vancouver time). This is far from ideal for people from some time zones. We are very sorry about it. We had to resolve the time zones issue in some way, and we didn’t find any really good solution for that.

We will post more details, including a schedule, soon.
